The Opportunity
The SAIT School of Business is currently looking for individuals who are interested in future opportunities to teach in our Administrative Information Management Diploma Program and Office Professional Certificate Program.
We offer various courses during the day, (Monday – Friday, between 8AM – 6PM), along with evening and weekend courses. Future opportunities are casual hourly roles where the hours per  week may vary.
Courses include Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Publisher, OneNote, Project, and Access as well as office administration, meetings and events, and industry studies.

Areas of Expertise

  • One or some of the following software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, Access, Teams, PowerBI , Publisher, Project
  • Meeting and Event Management
  • Introduction to Business
  • Office Administration and or Office Management
  • Database Management
  • Project Scheduling and or Coordination 

The Role

  • Engage students in the course
  • Prepare students for their next career
  • Prepare  lessons and classes prior to delivery
  • Maintain and update curriculum as required
  • Develop quality presentations for students  
  • Attend all SAIT training as required
  • Achievement of School initiatives and Objectives
  • Provide accurate and up to date reporting of student marks
  • Be an active and engaged member of the School
  • Adhere to all safety legislation, guidelines and safety standards as required
  • Maintain contact with industry sectors to assure technology is relevant 
  • All other duties as required for the position

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma in field relevant to area of expertise; a Degree or Masters is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of office administration and / or management experience and / or industry related experience
  • Microsoft certificated in one or more of Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint would be an asset
  • Knowledge of MS SharePoint, Teams, PowerBI, OneNote, Project and Publisher would be an asset
  • An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered
  • Experience in instruction is an asset
  • Curriculum development experience an asset 
  • Commitment to professional learning and growth
