Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is looking for a Lead Systems Administrator with a strong commitment to optimizing system performance and administration. Key responsibilities include:
– Oversee the administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our systems, guiding the systems administration team, and coordinating with other IT teams to maintain system integrity and availability.
– Manage the implementation of system updates, patches, and upgrades, ensuring system security and compliance with guidelines.
– Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations, servers, and web servers to meet business processing needs.
– Perform software installations and upgrades, scheduling and managing them in accordance with IT policies and procedures.
– Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring data integrity by implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
– Implement data backup and recovery processes to ensure data and media recoverability.
– Develop and enforce standard operating procedures, conduct routine hardware and software audits, and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and supporting information.
This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI accesses with a polygraph.
This position is on-site with our customer in Washington, DC. After the initial phase of on-site support, there is potential for remote work, subject to customer approval.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experiencewith Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, PKI, and Identity Management systems.
- Familiarity with federal agency IT environments.
