Cloud-native, 100% no-code and purely workflow-driven, Ushur empowers citizen developers within business operations teams to build AI-powered, fully automated and omni-channel experience to digitally transform customer journeys end-to-end.Ushur is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a high-impact team to build our AI-powered language intelligence, conversational automation and document intelligence stacks. We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong engineer who develops ML applications, works with our existing AI/ML stack and also interfaces with our customers on a regular basis. This role requires frequent interactions with customers and prior experience directly working with customers on a regular basis is a must-have for this profile.
The Role and Responsibilities
● Design, Develop and support feature extraction and data engineering work based on the Ushur’s Micro-Engagement Platform. Work closely with the DS team to implement AI features in the product.
● Collaborate with the team of talented engineers involved in various disciplines around the product including Architects, Developers, Testers and Machine Learning Engineers.
● Starting from a high-level requirement be able to arrive at the details of the features, study and derive various ML models based on both user and platform-generated data
● Ability to represent the work that the team performs in various platforms and work with the customer to deliver our features from development into Production.
● Work with Solution Consultants, Customer Success Managers and our customers to design the correct solution that includes the AI stack. Handle the project right from initial requirements all the way up to deployment in the customer’s production environment.
● Represent our team in customer interactions and properly guide the overall team towards a successful deployment of the AI feature in the customer’s environment.
● Work with DevOps, QA and other teams to deliver programs successfully.
● Create content and train the customers/Solution Consultants about the AI features.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related technical field.
● 2+ years of experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) domain
● 2+ years of experience in directly working with customers, interfacing with customers on a regular basis and being willing to lead conversations with customers
● Strong programming skills in Python or Java and experience with contemporary ML frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow)
● Must have worked with LLMs, Prompt engineering, prompt tuning and have ability to work with LLMs on a daily basis to solve customer’s problems.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-haves
● M.S in Applied Math/Computer Science or other Data science related disciplines ● Prior experience with training customers on the features developed by the team

30 Days
– Complete New Hire Checklists and Orientation
– Understand the AI features that Ushur already has created
– Get comfortable with one of the stacks of AI features [IDA/AI Studio/RFP Quote intake/Convo AI]
60 Days
– Deeper understanding of two of the AI features mentioned above.
– Ability to work with the team to start development of some of the features
– Understand the key features of the product and have ability to share it with a larger audience
– Create strong relationships with SCs and CSMs
90 Days
– Start participating in customer calls on a regular basis
– Understand the needs of demonstrations, POCs and other requirements from the customers and map it with the AI features of our product
– Represent the AI team in customer meetings and work closely with the team to start delivering the program
