Job Summary:
As a member of the ASAP Payments team, a CCP POS installation technician successfully implements and supports Credit Card Processing Point of Sale solutions, while ensuring customer satisfaction and quality. The technician is also responsible for understanding customer needs, configuring a solution to meet those needs, and installing the Point of Sale solution at customer sites. This includes site preparation, equipment staging, software configuration, and actual site conversion and installation. This is a great opportunity to work directly with our customers and/or their employees. Travel to customer locations is required.
Job Functions:
· Installing ASAP payments hardware on-site Installing and configuring the necessary software
· Providing technical support on-site
· Providing live site start-up services
· Delivering on-site customer training
· Ensuring the site is 100% fully functional
· Running cables, if necessary
· Responding to customer cases and field inquiries in a timely and effective manner by answering known questions and reproducing straightforward technical problems
· Ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining a proactive approach to customers
· Learning new products and diagnostic tools
· Other job-related duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge
· In-depth knowledge of POS system
· Computer knowledge and experience
· Restaurant and or Bar experience is a plus
· Computer hardware/network installation experience a plus
· Direct TV/Internet installation is a plus
